Hands down there hasn’t been any good GH games since 2 and 3. The rest were whored out to some of the worst songs possible in the genre. Coldplay, Fountains of Wayne, The Gorrilaz, to name a few of many bad artists. Guitar Hero used to mean rock and rock alone, not this poppy d-bag music. IMO DJ Hero was fun and all but the ps3 and 360 turntables had a bug in them so spinning the turntable sometimes caused you to lose combos or better yet, open up the xbox dashboard screen, lol. GHWT was the start of the end for guitar hero. And then we get to GH 5 and it’s completely crap. Even the hardest songs in the game; Spirit of the Radio, Do you feel like we do, Two Minutes to Midnight, I FC’d within a few tries of first playing them. TTFaF on GH3 I failed continuously back to back for a month until my fingers could get used to green stretches. GHVH was fun and all but no one likes that much Van Halen, lol. It used SO many unnecessary notes in it, Ex. Jump. Jump’s solo is like WTF when you first play it because it’s all bullshit note whoring. Eh I’m ranting to much, lol. To sum it up. GH is dead unless they try to bring back the old setups. Until then I’m going to be practicing my SF4 for tournaments and get to EVO eventually.

Yea Guitar Hero is dead… Online people use the controllers instead of the guitar wich makes it somewhat unfair and noobish. Btw Doc is a dirtbag dude was hating on you from the start.

I stopped doing tourneys for GH for similar reasons. Mostly, they just started attracting annoying trolls. When I first started, it was mostly musicians who dug the game and wanted to try to win something (in my area). When I see what happened to GH, I really hope it dies soon. I’ve spent way too much money trying to keep up with the games to the point to where I’ve just about given up entirely on buying anything else GH. All of that, and Rock Band needs to stop with the weekly DLC. It’s not necessary. A game a year to try to perfect is more than enough. We don’t need DLC anymore. If DLC is a must, then release something good once a month or something. Those are my thoughts…..I have moved on for the most part as well ^_^

Ok, u said this is the end for Guitar Hero, but i got something to say about that,

i completely agree GH has been going downwards ALOT!

but the fact that they don’t want to release ALOT of new versions, but are working on GH6 and DJ hero only, maybe means they will make 1 really good version? (gh6)

ofcourse i don’tk now for sure, but there is a chance GH6 will finally be a good Guitar hero again!

also, GHVH isn’t THAT bad, i mean, still the older ones are better, but GHVH has really challenging songs etc, i only fc’d like 40 of them so far

@ShhGiggity If I could get paid to do it I would. I used to write game reviews and such for ConsoleHeroes.com and for Gameplay HD but neither one of those was a paying gig and I just found that I was spending too much time on it for not getting paid and I decided to put more time into pro gaming instead. I’d love to do more work on that side but again, it just comes down to money issues.

Thanks, but anything is possible. It depends on how the producers want me to look. After seeing them trying to edit me covering my eyes while holding onto someones arm being guided to a challenge into a montage of people crying I realized that this is pretty much going to be edited to whatever is most interesting… and things wont be 100% factual. I also noticed some cut/pastes in the the trailer of situations that never happened… I’m always amazed at the editing process, but we’ll see what happens.

Also thanks to all of you for commenting. I know that GH isn’t just going to die tomorrow… but this is SERIOUSLY going to hurt Activision. They’ve also already said they’re going to start shifting their focus onto where the money is which is most likely going to be Call of Duty, yet how they’re supposed to do better than MW2 I don’t know. :p
